As the 2013 Executive Chair of
the American Cancer Society West Michigan Golf Classic in Memory of Kenneth D.
Ellis, it’s a privilege to invite you to share in our annual event. With the
support of the Ellis Family, and to honor the memory of Kenneth D. Ellis, we
will enjoy a beautiful day of golf at Blythefield Country Club on Monday, June
The Golf Classic
is a major local event in the American Cancer Society’s efforts to raise
awareness and financial support in the fight against cancer. As the official sponsor of birthdays, the
American Cancer Society knows how important each and every birthday can be. They
believe the organization’s 100th birthday in 2013 is a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate the lifesaving progress against
cancer we’ve made together this past century.
The American Cancer Society
has done more in the fight against cancer than any other organization, and they
will continue their relentless pursuit of even more birthdays as they set the
agenda for the next 100 years – what they believe can and will be cancer’s last
Through your participation at this
year’s Golf Classic, you will help fund research grants, educational and
wellness programs, and provide direct support and services to cancer patients
and their families right here in West Michigan.
It’s my hope that you will join
us on June 3and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors who are
diagnosed with cancer. With your help we can achieve our goal of creating a
world with more birthdays.
